Dr. Baljit Kaur, Punjab’s Minister for Social Security, Women, and Child Development, has directed departmental officers to expedite the survey under the “Sade Bazurg Sada Maan” initiative, aimed at improving the welfare of senior citizens. Dr. Kaur urged officers to ensure the timely and effective implementation of all government schemes designed to benefit elderly residents at the grassroots level.
The ongoing survey is being carried out via the Msewa app by departmental supervisors. While progress has been notable in districts such as Hoshiarpur, Ferozepur, SAS Nagar, and Pathankot, Dr. Kaur called on other districts to accelerate their efforts. The Minister warned that any negligence in the survey process would not be tolerated, and strict action would be taken against officials found neglecting their duties.
Dr. Kaur reiterated the Punjab government’s commitment to transforming the state into a vibrant and progressive entity, urging officers to work cooperatively and with dedication to achieve this vision.
