Chandpur (Block Majri), November 30
Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Maan on Saturday called on newly elected panchayats of Block Majri and Kharar to focus on uplifting their villages through active collaboration with the administration and panchayat department. Speaking at the Sewa Samagam held for 110 panchayats at Chandpur, Maan emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to address local issues and drive development.
Maan directed officials to set up open gyms in village grounds and initiate comprehensive cleaning of ponds, streets, and drains. She also ordered the removal of large-scale land encroachments in the constituency and vowed strict action against anyone illegally occupying Shamlat lands or misusing her name for personal gain.
“The Punjab government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to creating a ‘Rangla Punjab.’ Panchayats must work sincerely to solve their village’s challenges,” Maan said.
During the event, several complaints and demands from the panchayats were resolved on the spot. Legal measures against illegal encroachments and mining were also announced. The event also provided access to various government services, benefiting residents of the constituency.
