Chandigarh/SAS Nagar (Mohali), October 22
Punjab’s initiative to improve the quality of education in government schools will enhance students’ holistic development, Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said on Tuesday. Speaking at the 3rd mega parent-teacher meeting at the School of Eminence 3B-1 in SAS Nagar (Mohali), Dhaliwal highlighted the state’s commitment to providing quality education.
The minister emphasized the importance of collaboration between parents, teachers, and the local community to foster better coordination in ensuring the all-around development of students. The meeting aimed to discuss government efforts to strengthen the education system and create opportunities for parents to engage directly with teachers and provide feedback.
Dhaliwal credited the state government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, for its continuous work to improve Punjab’s education system. He noted that the Mega PTM initiative allows parents to assess their children’s academic performance and receive feedback from teachers, which contributes to the overall development of the students.
He praised the overwhelming response from parents, reporting 100% participation from parents of students in pre-primary to grade twelve in government schools.
The event also provided teachers a platform to discuss students’ academic progress, as well as their physical, mental, emotional, and social growth. Dhaliwal inspected student exhibitions and artworks, encouraging them in their creative pursuits.
